Is the Goulding SleepTalk Method the same as hypnosis?

The only thing the Goulding Method and hypnosis have in common is that they both use suggestions.

Hypnosis is presented by a professional while the child is awake and has conscious memory of the presentation of suggestions.

The Goulding Method is presented by the parent in the safety of their own home environment and is conducted whilst the child is asleep with no conscious memory upon awakening.
